About the Club

Introduction to Ribble Valley Cycling and Racing Club

As one of Preston’s foremost cycling clubs, Ribble Valley Cycling and Racing Club have a tradition of providing cycling opportunities for people of all ages for more than 60 years.  Whether you’re an experienced rider, or someone who wants a leisurely hobby to take part in, we’re sure to have something for you.

The club has members of all ages and we offer rides on a frequent basis in disciplines such as:

  • Touring
  • Mountain Biking
  • Time Trialling
  • Sportives
  • Cyclo-cross

As well as these disciplines, we have weekly club rides, which range from leisurely rides for all abilities exploring the local countryside on two wheels, to very long rides (100 miles plus) at a fairly fast pace.

In the Winter (off season) the club also organises Zwift sessions to help members maintain their fitness when cycling outdoors becomes difficult.

The club also has a healthy social calendar with club events including fun days and Barbecues as well as cycling competitions.  One thing we can guarantee is a warm and friendly atmosphere with fellow cyclists who share your interests.

RVCRC Club Ride

Why not come and meet us?

You’re welcome to come and join one of our regular Sunday rides that best suits your interests and ability.  We meet every Sunday at 9am .  For more information, please see our Club Rides page.

If you’d prefer to find out more about the club, before you venture out on two wheels with us, why not come and visit us at one of our regular Monday night social meetings?  We gather every Monday at 8pm (except Bank Holidays) to catch up and socialise about things that are happening both on and off the bike.  Come and see us in a warm and friendly atmosphere, without the lycra!  The venue we use has it’s own bar, so you could treat yourself to a drink or two as well.  For more information about RVCRC Monday night social meetings, please see the How to Find Us page.
