Fast Rides (A rides)

Setting off from Preston College at 9am on a Sunday morning, typically these rides are about 80-100 miles and are aimed at experienced riders who can ride at a fast pace (14-17 miles per hour) over long distances in hilly terrain. There will always one café stop.

A Ride Routes

The Sunday A rides cover up to (approximately) 100 miles in the Summer months and often take the group over to the Yorkshire Dales.  A typical example of one of our Sunday A group rides can be seen below.

The ride took place on 11th November 2012 and the A group visited Cowan Bridge (near Kirkby Lonsdale).  The ride has since been uploaded to our club’s Ride with GPS account – http://ridewithgps.com/users/305135

Start: Preston College.

Route Overview: Garstang, Cockerham, Dolphinholme, Wray, Hutton Roof.

Some other A group rides can be seen in the table below.  This includes the Fleet Moss Audax, which the club has organised in recent years up to spring 2015.
