78-year-old Leonard Main was killed on July 31 when apparently run down from behind by a truck while riding north on the A6 near Broughton, Lancs. A lifelong member of Goodmayes Wheelers, and a competitor since 1933, he joined Ribble Valley CRC after a move to Preston in 1977 and was soon on the committees of the North DC and NLTTA.
